ETHICS
Think you know right from wrong? Come check out Ethics Club, South’s casual discussion group tackling life’s big ethical questions! Meetings every Thursday, at lunch, Room 409; all are welcome.
VOLUNTEER
Do you need volunteer hours? Sign up to help at the Roosevelt Middle School Showcase this Friday evening. The showcase is the school’s biggest event of the year, featuring a carnival atmosphere with games, activities, food, and a silent auction. Volunteers are needed during the event from 6:30-8:30, as well as before and after to help with setup and cleanup. Check for an email from Lori Sauter that was sent on Wednesday, April 23rd for more information.
Seniors! Headed to LCC next year? You don’t have to pay the LCC application deposit. Contact Lori Sauter in the College and Career Center for the deposit waiver code. And, by the way, an LCC rep will be in the College and Career Center on Tuesday, May 6th at 11:45 to help you register to attend.
COLLEGE REPS
A rep from the University of British Columbia will be in the College and Career Center on Monday, April 28th at 10:15 to give you a peek at this popular Canadian school. Come on by, eh?
A rep from Northern Arizona University will be in the College and Career Center on Tuesday, April 29th at 1:35. Come by to learn more about Flagstaff, NAU’s programs in health sciences and in natural resources, and much more!
HONORS
Seniors! If you have completed 120 hours of community service and have maintained a 3.5 GPA, you have qualified for District Honors Recognition. Please bring your completed documentation for this award, including all signatures verifying your volunteer hours, to Jessica in the counseling department before May 1st.
JUNIOR PROJECT
Juniors! Have you signed up for your junior interview? Scan the QR code for counseling appointments to schedule this very important requirement for graduation.
SENIORS
Seniors and early grads: Complete the College and Career Center Google form today! Find that link in your recent email from Lori Sauter and on the QR code posted in the Career and Counseling Centers. Also, pay your text and library fees right away. These tasks are REQUIRED before you can choose your seat for the commencement ceremony. Seat selection begins next Wednesday! Talk to Jessica in counseling if you have any questions.
FIELD TRIP
All students going on the FLIS field trip must pay AND turn in permission slips by tomorrow. If you don’t have both things done, you will not go on the field trip.
