ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY APRIL 19

Pledge: Students, we welcome you to stand as we recite the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

GIRLS TENNIS FUNDRAISER

Come join Student Government to support the girls tennis team TONIGHT in the large gym for a fun social night from 6-8pm!  There will be a movie, some food and drink and good times!  All we ask is a $5 donation at the door to support the tennis team!!  Check the stugov instagram if you have any questions, see you Friday night!

ARTWORK PICKUP

Hey Semester 1 Ceramic & Photography Students!

The pieces from the Fall term Art Show are ready for pickup.

Stop by the Art Room to pick up your piece by Friday  the 26th.

Pieces not picked up will be auctioned off so Nina can buy new shoes.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Are you looking for volunteer hours? How about working with kids at a carnival? Both Edgewood  and Roosevelt will hold carnival fundraisers TODAY, Friday, April 19th. Check the last published e-news on South’s website or visit Lori Sauter in the College and Career Center for details.

NHS APPLICATIONS

Due to some South website issues we have extended the NHS application deadline to  Friday April 19th . Applications are available in room 708.

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Seniors, local scholarship season is upon us! Many scholarships that are specifically targeting South students are opening every week. Pay attention to your school email and the e-news to take advantage of some good money for college and trade school. Visit Lori Sauter in the College and Career Center if you have any questions.

JUNIOR GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP

Junior girls! Here’s a scholarship for you! The P.E.O. organization is looking for outstanding SEHS female juniors with an unweighted GPA of at least 3.0 and strength in taking initiative, leadership, community involvement and service. This scholarship is worth $2,500 and is due on April 23rd by 3:45. Check the last published e-news on South’s website or visit Lori Sauter in the College and Career Center for details.

PROM TICKETS

Prom Tickets are now on sale for Juniors & Seniors! Purchase your prom ticket on school pay before it is too late. There are a limited number of available tickets and we will run out. Only 96 tickets left! Guest forms are now out; we have no more. 

PROM VOTING

Hey Juniors and Seniors! There is one week left to vote for prom royals. The link to the form is on the SEHS prom website, linked on the StuGov Instagram, and is under the “Royalty Bios and Voting” page! The form will close on April 22nd, and the winners will be announced at 10pm during Prom on April 27th.

MOTHER EARTH MONDAY

Get ready for Earth Week starting next Monday, April 22nd! On Mother Earth Monday, wear your best earth colors! Want to win an eco prize? Play some trivia in the main hall during lunch to be entered into the raffle.
